One of the state's best known landmarks, Wilpena Pound, is located within the park. A fee is charged upon entering the park. Situated 450 km north of Adelaide.

Wilpena Pound
Located in Flinders Ranges National Park, Wilpena Pound is one of the most well known natural landmarks in South Australia. Covering approximately 80 square kilometres, it is a large basin that is accessible only by a narrow gap where Wilpena Creek exits the pound.
